We had a great excuse to stay tucked up in bed until very late this morning only venturing out to buy some more firewood and supplies as Wellington was hit by Southerly winds gusting up to extreme kms/hr and torrential rain, lots of planes and the Interislander have been cancelled and our house has been rocking disconcertingly on its precarious looking wooden foundations!!!!!
