Sunday at the Blueberry Farm

We met up with our friends Nicky and Rich and their kids, Emma aged 5 and Zach aged 3, at a Blueberry Farm just outside of Wellington. http://www.blueberryfarm.co.nz/ unfortunately the Blueberries were not quite ripe but it was quite amusing to see the kids 'gurning' when they decided they would try them anyway!!!!!!! How evil am I!!!!!! The trip was not a complete waste of time though as there is a Mexican Cafe selling yummy fresh authentic Mexican food cooked by the owners Mexican Mother-in-law!!!! There is also a river running through the farm with a swimming hole! Rob amazed us with his stone skimming skills!!!!!! We fear young Zach may have developed a Chicken phobia as he was chased by a couple of the biggest, fattiest chickens I have ever seen and was last seen screaming 'they are going to eat me'!!!!

We welcomed in 2008 with a Clink and a Splash

We had some friends around to help us celebrate the New Year. We chatted, stuffed ourselves with Robs 'world famous chilli' and my Lime Cheesecake, drank copious amounts of Mulled wine,(its got fruit in so got to be good for you!!!!!) and various other concoctions of the alcoholic variety and the night descended into Singstar Karaoke Madness......eventually out came our old University pictures so that our friends could have a laugh at our expense!!!!! We jumped into the Spa with our glasses of champagne after belting out a tuneful Auld Lang Syne at Midnight!!!!!!

We managed to get ourselves out into the sunshine with the help of some vitamins, paracetamol, scrambled egg on toast and dark sunglasses on New Years Day.
